Century’s Longest Solar Eclipse on July 22

July 22 will witness the 21st century’s longest and most spectacular total solar eclipse.
The head of Iran’s Amateur Astronomy Society, Masoud Atiqi, also told IRNA that the eclipse will last for 6 minutes, 39 seconds.
“The eclipse will start in India and cross Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China,“ he said.
“The more you move to the east of China, the longer the solar eclipse will be.“
After leaving mainland Asia, the path crosses Japan’s Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean.
